"I made this piece in the wake of the Dobbs decision, when I was thinking of so many women with nowhere to go if they needed a safe abortion. My surgeon father told me stories of women coming into the ER after coat hanger abortions who would bleed to death. I grew up on these stories, and it has fueled my work to keep fighting for these rights. And that’s definitely driven to make so many films and artworks around the importance of reproductive rights."
