Tiffany Shlain lived at the Hotel Chelsea in her twenties, when artists there kept their doors open and moved in and out of each other's rooms. If These Walls Could Talk honors the women who shaped the building's creative life (including Patti Smith, Grace Jones, Niki de Saint Phalle, Joni Mitchell and many more). The original is now in the Chelsea's permanent collection, installed between the 7th and 8th floors near the room where she once stayed.
