Zoli’s Brain

Unfinished film

This film explores the inside of a sculpture’s, Zoli’s, mind during a creative block --where all the metaphors of  the mind are taken literally. There are “Critical Thought” Editing rooms, “Peace of Mind Patrol”, “Director of Neurosis” and  thoughts that are imprisioned in “brain cells.”  The film  follows his muse’s attempt to release his imprisioned thoughts and  

allow him to once again create.  

I worked on this film with many wonderful people fresh out of UCBerkeley. It currently resides in my garage and someday, I  hope to edit it into something. In many ways, Zoli’s Brain was my official film school and a profound experience of having my own block with this film. Both financially and creatively. It  was where I learned the very important lesson, that sometimes it is just as important to know when to stop a project as it is to have the tenacity to finish one.
