Discouraged by the lack of Female directors in Film History books as a student of film theory at UCBerkeley, I decided to find my own role modes. For my honors thesis, I made a documentary on Bay Area Women Filmmakers. I had a fantastic film mentor at UC Berkeley named Marilyn Fabe. She taught avant-gard film and history of flim and had an infectious excitement about film and film’s infuence on culture...she was very supportive of my work and this project.

I am forever grateful.
